A Certificate of Construction Compliance (or otherwise known as a CCC or BA17) is the formal certification from a registered building surveyor where a building requires an Occupancy Permit.
A registered building surveyor will inspect a building to certify it meets the drawings, technical documents and applicable building standards prescribed in the CDC. Where the building deviates from the approved plans a CBC may be required to obtain an Occupancy Permit.
A Certificate of Construction Compliance can be for either an incomplete or complete building. A CCC incomplete may be provided to obtain a temporary occupancy permit where it can be certified the building is fit for purpose and will not pose a health or safety hazard to occupants.
